about the author
|
drunk on her smile, I
swerve, reckless
down the tips of her fingers and
breathe
life
through veins and
tendons chiseled
past her wrists--
and she? oh!
kisses
like a moonborne lunacy,
and I,
a lovesick opium ache,
trace my own sedated fingertips
along the arch in her back
and
I can’t, for the life of me,
find those wings in her spine,
but they must be there
somewhere.
